Pharmaceutical industry: Staff get-together

Every year, the employees of this pharmaceutical group are invited to an three-hour
information meeting including a review of the year and an outlook to the coming year.
Vischer, Merkt & Partner was commissioned to design and organize this event with almost
3,000 guests from Basel. In Hall 1 of the Basel exhibition center, the stage and auditorium
was transformed into a replica of an ancient roman theater complex while semicircular
seating was installed to optimize the distance and position of the audience in relation to
the speaker. Because two completely different themes with different branding were to be
dealt with during the information meeting, the entire stage setting was designed as a
colossal projection screen. In this way, the different contents and needs could be catered
for (visuals, live camera, PowerPoint slides, video clips etc.). The information meeting was
rounded off with an elaborate aperitif during which the senior management team nurtured
its contacts and exchanges with the staff.
